All Age Discipleship Training School (AADTS) Content: The Lecture Phase: ...is presented by gifted teachers of various backgrounds and nationalities. Many have had years of experience internationally both in the training of others for missions and in practical service on the mission field. A typical day would comprise 2 lecture periods in the morning, intercession time and a small group meeting, followed by an afternoon work duty. All the topics of a DTS are taught in order to prepare the Christian messenger for the task of world evangelisation. Topics include: -How to hear the voice of God The Outreach Phase: "It was a great time for being stretched both in our ability to adapt to a foreign climate and culture and in areas of ministry of which we had very little experience. By the end we had given our testimony, preached, prayer-walked and prayed for the sick." The field assignment follows immediately after the lecture phase, lasts for a minimum period of 8 weeks and will take place in a cross-cultural situation. Past outreaches have been to destinations such as Uganda, India, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. We have come alongside the workers in these places, hearing how we can best serve their own particular needs and in doing so, experiencing the power and love of God at work in and through us. The Outreach is a time to put into practice some of the truths that we have learned in the lecture phase, where we become doers of the word, not just hearers only.
