Journal week 2
A Glimpse Of Our Life
Welcome to week 2 of our story. It's been a pretty good week. We've learned how to hear God's voice, and the different ways that God communicates with us. We also played some football inside and out- and also THE SNOW IS GONE!! which was both a relief and a depressing thing for some. For me it was good, I was tired of seeing snow in Canada and now here so it was a relief for me. It meant we could play better football outside as well which is always good. The past few days have been pretty sunny in the morning so its been nice, but still wet and cold as well, which isn't so great but bearable- we still play. Something big that's happening this week is the photos. We already took a group photo, which went well. Its turned out nice. We all had football jerseys on and did our manly poses, although we didn't get to the individual ones yet- that's tomorrow (sat jan 23rd). We hope to get all of them done tomorrow. We did however try to get them on Thursday, but the thing was we did them with a normal digital camera so they didn't exactly work the way we wanted, and by that I mean NOT AT ALL HOW WE THOUGHT- so that was disappointing for us, but luckily we'll have the help of Alex Joyce with his super intense camera that helps with the awesome sport shots. So, we're all looking forward to that. Speaking of looking forward to stuff, the Scot, Callum McDonald, is hosting an xbox night for the people to come and enjoy the digital excitement that is xbox. It should be some good times for sure.
Hearing God's voice
Now back to the main focus of these journals- the lectures we had. We had some good lectures this week! Our first speaker that wasn't from TKL came this week. She was a women by the name of Sandy she was teaching about how to hear the voice of God and the different ways he speaks to us whether it's through scriptures or through dreams or whatever other way God wants to speak to you. I personally found it so helpful. She gave us notes and lessons for the future which will help a lot. We also tried to listen for God and see pictures from Him and a few of us did actually both hear and saw some things which was really cool. Speaking of cool we played football indoors today we did 3 on 3 on 3 on 4, the leaders were a team and they had 4 people which was a little cheap but we fought through it and it was fun. Can't wait for next week. This Monday the DTS is hosting the intersession, so that'll be cool and I'll let you know how it went next journal, but for now talk to ya later and have an awesome week
