KKi England
KKi (King's Kids International) is a ministry of YWAM committed to reaching lost young people, mobilising youth and families into mission and equipping the church to do the same.
KKi England is based here at The King's Lodge, in the heart of the nation. We serve within our neighbourhood, around the region, throughout England and into the nations. Read on to find out more about what we do and why we do it.
What Does KKi England do?
Mobilising
WildFire is the name we give to our outreach teams, mobilising youth and families into mission. We encourage the whole family to get involved together, but 10-18 year olds may join without parents. There are two kinds of WildFire:
WildFire Global Summer mission teams: 10 days to 3 weeks long, either based in the UK or travelling overseas.
WildFire Local Year-round outreach teams which meet once a month and serve their local community.
Equipping
We see the great need for an army of trained up leaders who will serve this generation. Here are some of the ways KKi England is doing this:
Principles in Child and Youth Ministry training school (PCYM)
Seminars and Workshops
Church weekends
Spring Harvest (we run one of the 8-11s programmes, "FireStarters")
Written resources ("The Big Cell", articles in Cell UK magazine, creative prayer book coming soon!)
Reaching
The Father is not willing that any of these little ones be lost Matt18:14. Are we? In 2004, 94% of young people in England were yet to be reached by the good news of Jesus and His Kingdom. These are some of the ways we are involved in finding (and helping others find) these lost sheep:
After school clubs
Tea-time club in Camphill (a locality near The King's Lodge)
WildFire outreaches in Camphill
Holiday Clubs (working alongside local churches)
Treats and outings for local children
Staff Opportunities
Full time King's Kids staff must first successfully complete the initial entry-level school in YWAM called the Discipleship Training School (DTS).
KKi England staff are also encouraged to complete the PCYM school. In some circumstances we will accept staff who have not done a PCYM.
If you are interested in joining our team please contact us, we'd love to hear from you.
