What more can be hoped for staff days than that they be led personally by Holy Spirit?

The King's Lodge began the annual staff preparation days as a family, coming to God and thanking Him for who He is. Using the imagery of the Old Testament Tabernacle the community was led further and further into His presence. Outer courts of praise… inner courts where people repent and lay themselves before the altar. As members of the community poured out their hearts, in the form of repentance, lost hopes, and laying down burdens, Holy Spirit’s presence was tangible. It was evident that no person or team was leading this time of coming before the Father, but He Himself was leading His children into the inner sanctuary. Base Leader Maged Kalta recalls, “This was a time of practicing the presence of God.”
The following days were built on this foundation. Each session was rich and full. Everyone seems to remember different sessions as being the most impacting. One person may remember the session which included a memorable visual picture of how God gives good gifts to His children. The two people who volunteered, based on a promise of chocolate, left with their arms literally overflowing with treats and flowers and even money! Someone else may cite guest speaker Alejandro Rodriguez shouting that God’s glory comes in desperation, encouraging people to step out in their ministries to a place where they cannot continue on their own. Likely someone would mention a family time that was had, vulnerable and transparent in humanness and need. And certainly many would recall a defining moment when many members of the community came forwards separately with surprisingly similar words that God had spoken to them, calling the community to holiness, and repentance.
God is calling His people to be wholly devoted to Him. In this holiness is the future of the King’s Lodge.
There is a general buzz of expectation for the next year amongst those who were there. The word is for the entire community though- Come near to Me and I will come near to you. The call is for the community as a whole. It's all about being in His presence.
